Wedding Reception:
Rachael & Benjamin Richards
May 27th, 2012

The backdrop for the wedding ceremony for Rachael & Benjamin was the lavishly landscaped grounds of the Taylor Mansion located at 1400 E. Broad St in Columbus, Ohio.  Although the temperature registered 95 degrees under humid conditions, the mood of all in attendance remained positive as the guests were seated in front of the mansion to take in the exchange of marriage vowels on the front steps.

Following the ceremony, the guests transitioned to the rear of the mansion to enjoy Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.  Skirted round tables with candles were positioned out back in the picturesque setting where guests conversed; enjoying good company. Introductions of the bridal party got underway shortly thereafter followed by dinner and plenty of dancing.  Guests of all ages packed the dance floor all night and at one point, the flower girls took it upon themselves to engage guests in a conga line for which they were happy to oblige.  Guests responded to Rhythm  & Blues and Soul from the 70’s to Hip Hop and R & B of the modern era and also took part in some Polka and various line dances.

Advice cards for the bride/groom were placed on guests tables for words of wisdom to help ensure a happy & lasting marriage.

Hat’s off to Chris Riker & company at the Taylor Mansion for their outstanding efforts on catering.
